The plastic pipe might heated up and release oil, lubricating the pipe letting the bullet slide through.
By taping together the tube and the barrel, you are causing the recoil, i.e. equal opposite reaction of the gun to firing to directly effect movement in the tube, thus the bullet is then unable to travel straight through as it's moving. Even if the recoil reaction is slower than the bullet, a small deviation in movement of the tube is all that's needed to cause chaos.

I kinda have the feeling that it's the pipe bouncing around for the first meter or so... The 50 is probably traveling in a perfect straight line but the pipe starts to move.. But in the end the bullet probably started to spiral a bit before leaving the pipe..

The tears in the front of the pipe I’m pretty sure is a combination of the bullet and the gasses and pressure after the bullet went down it kind of like the bullets in the gelatin if any one has seen those videos
You should use copper with swage tool to couple all the pipes together so there are no lips at the connections and use pressurized air to blow a heavy lubricant through to help as well and tou want the pipe small enough to act more as a barrel
